Special Education

At Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Awal School, it is a priority for all members of the school community to ensure that all students with special educational needs have access to a high-quality inclusive education. Further, they ensure all the student’s individual needs are met within the mainstream classes by their teachers based on the implementation of their individual educational plans as well as the special educational needs team during individual lessons. We aim to establish the support implemented as push-in or pull-out based on their educational needs, reports’ recommendations, and their IEPs.

At KBZA we recognize that some students may need different or additional support at specific times during their school journey to meet learning differences and gaps. Others may need ongoing support throughout their schooling. KBZA commits to provide outstanding support to all students, planned and delivered to the highest standard by all teaching and SEN staff members; all teachers are working closely to meet learners’ diverse needs. At KBZA inclusion means full participation in all mainstream classes is the overall aim, so that each student can benefit alongside their peers from the planned schedule of tailored lessons offered as part of a well-rounded curriculum. At KBZA, we make every effort to ensure knowledgeable and experienced subject teachers deliver the curriculum to all students.
